Ask AI from any page

The AI bubble in the corner — it already knows which entry, collection or dashboard you're looking at, and it can edit them for you.

There's a small round button with your agent's face in the bottom-right corner of every page. Click it (or press ⌘J / Ctrl+J) and a chat panel slides in from the right — without leaving the page you're on.

It's not a separate mini-assistant. It's the same conversation as the Chats tab, with the same agent. Anything you say in the panel is there when you open Chats, and vice versa.

It knows what you're looking at

The panel automatically picks up whatever's on screen and shows it as a small pill above the message box:

You're on…The pill says
An entrythat entry
A collectionthat collection — and which saved view you have open
A dashboardthat dashboard

So you can just say "make the protein number green" instead of "in my Food collection, on the card layout, the protein field…". The agent resolves "this" against the pill.

If the pill isn't relevant to what you're about to ask, click the on it and it won't be sent. Move to another page and the pill follows you.

Point it at something else with @

Type @ in the message box — in the panel or in the Chats tab — and a list pops up of everything you can point the agent at: entries, collections, saved views, dashboards and charts. Start typing to narrow it down, then press (or click) to pick.

Each pick becomes another pill. Handy for comparisons: "compare @Running with @Walking this month", or "copy the row design from @Todo list into @Groceries list".

Arrow keys move through the list, Esc closes it, and once it's closed sends your message as usual.

What it can actually change

The agent can edit the same things you can, by hand:

  • Log, edit and delete entries, and reorganise collections
  • Card design — colours, sizes, what's on the card, what happens when you tap it
  • Saved views — add a filtered List or Board view, restyle a list row, reorder or delete views
  • Charts and dashboards — build a chart, restyle one, set a goal ring

It reads the current design before changing it, so asking for one tweak doesn't wipe the rest of your styling. If it tries to write something invalid, nothing is saved and it fixes it and tries again.

Big destructive jobs (merging collections, bulk deletes) still ask you to approve a plan first.

Choosing which agent lives in the bubble

Click the agent's name at the top of the panel to switch to any of your agents. The choice follows you to your other devices.

Also in that header:

  • New chat — start a fresh conversation with this agent
  • Open in Chats — jump to the full-width version of the same conversation

On your phone

There's no floating bubble on phones — the tab bar is already the way you get around, and a bubble would sit right on top of the keyboard. Instead:

  • On an entry, open the menu → Ask AI about this
  • On a dashboard, tap the ✨ button in the header

Either one opens the chat with that thing already attached as a pill, exactly like the bubble does on desktop.
