Logging by chat

Drop a photo or a link into your log and it's kept as a real entry — and /text saves a note word-for-word. No mode to switch first.

Your log chat has one box and one send button. Photos and links you drop in it are kept as entries by default, and /text keeps a note word-for-word. Typing stays what it always was — talking to your AI. There's no mode to flip, and a photo or link never waits on the AI before it's saved.

What happens when you send

Kaizendex looks at what you dropped and files it:

Photos and links are sorted by simple rules, instantly, with no AI involved at all. Typed words still go to your assistant — so "add this YouTube channel …" does what you asked instead of becoming a note. When you want a note kept word-for-word with no AI at all, start with /text.

Everything lands as a normal entry card in your feed, not a chat bubble. Tap any field on the card to edit it, exactly like an entry you logged any other way.

The "/" commands

Type / at the very start of the box and a small menu opens. Picking a command tells Kaizendex exactly where the drop goes — no guessing:

  • /text — save as a note in Texts
  • /picture — save to Pictures
  • /link — save to Internet content
  • /ai — force a normal AI turn, even if it looks like something to keep

A command always wins. /text with a photo attached saves a note in Texts and keeps the photo attached to it, and /ai on a plain sentence sends it to your assistant instead of filing it.

A / anywhere else is just a slash — 5/10 km, dates and URLs all keep working normally.

The three-second correction strip

Right after your card appears, a small strip sits under it for about three seconds:

  • a ring counting down, and the line "Saving to Pictures"
  • chips for the other places it could go — tap one and it moves there
  • "Ask AI instead" — takes the same words back out and hands them to your assistant

Do nothing and it stays exactly where it went. Nothing is undone behind your back after the strip fades.

Make it yours — AI → Logging

None of this is fixed. Open AI in the sidebar and pick the Logging tab:

Slash commands — every command in the menu is a row you can edit. Rename /picture to /pic, point /link at a different Collection, add extra instructions ("always tag these Work"), switch one off, or hit + New command to invent your own. A new command works the moment you name it and give it a target — including as a chip in the correction strip.

Routing guidelines — one box per Collection, in plain language, telling the AI what a saved entry should look like there. For example:

  • Pictures — "Each photo becomes its own entry. Title it from what's in the photo."
  • Texts — "Save the text word for word in the body. Title = a short summary, max 4 words."
  • Internet content — "Fetch the page title. Set Source from the site — YouTube, GitHub, Reddit."

Your AI reads these on every log turn, so they shape what it does whether it's filing something silently or you asked it directly. If you ask for something different in the moment, what you asked wins.

Edits save as you make them. There's also an Edit JSON button if you'd rather write the whole thing out at once.
